Each year, representatives from the State Department of Education, the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Idaho Commission on the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Idaho Department of Labor, Idaho Parents Unlimited, and school districts work together to develop a statewide plan for assisting students with disabilities as they prepare for adulthood. The team is collaborating with other agencies and Boise State University to provide an Idaho focused event for school district teams to support students in their local communities.
While some keynote and breakout sessions will inform participants on current trends, service opportunities, and best practices in education, a bulk of the time will be dedicated to school district teams to plan together and receive small group guidance from supporting agencies. Teams will leave with a plan to help their schools and communities maximize the success of students as they prepare for life after high school.
With representation from school districts all over the state of Idaho, we anticipate approximately 200-300 administrators, educators, and counselors in attendance. We would like to invite you, as influential contributors to your community, to consider hosting a booth to provide your valuable resources to these teams. Even if you are unable to host a booth, we hope you will consider sponsoring the event at one of the levels listed below. Sponsorship descriptions and benefits are found on the reverse side of this letter.
We look forward to sharing in this great opportunity with you. Idaho’s students, educators, and communities are stronger when we are all working together!
